Gay marriage legalized in Iowa last week, Vermont this week. This is good news for bringing more fairness and equality into government. Leave the moral judgements to someone else; churches, etc. They can decide to not perform ceremonies for gays or accept gay couples, but they don’t have a right to say who gets to be married.
If they did, my many friends who joined in marriage in nonreligious civil ceremonies would have had a hard time marrying as well.
