elvis costello has a show right now called spectacle. he invites musicians on to the show to perform and discuss their music. if you have the chance to watch it, i’d highly recommend it.
john prine’s performance of his song lake marie on that show redefines for me what a guy with an acoustic guitar and not much else can do. this is the album version of the song, which i’ve opted to post here because the internet lacks a copy of the performance from spectacle.
